The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017)

Midge's talent does not automatically explain how to build a working life around it. In The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Susie's management and more experienced performers' attention supply access, advice and obligations that keep changing the shape of the job. The pleasure is watching a beginner acquire professional confidence while discovering that an opportunity has terms. This is the warmer, more buoyant option, though artistic support can still pull against loyalty and control.
