The Divide (2014)

An innocence advocate's challenge to a murder conviction threatens a prosecutor's career and a city's understanding of a racially charged crime. The strongest scenes concern who can afford to reconsider what they once called justice. This overlooked eight-episode drama is for institutional pressure and morally difficult conversations; its intended longer series stopped after one season.
