Southland (2009)

Patrol officers and detectives encounter Los Angeles through work that rarely ends neatly when a shift does. The ensemble's accumulated mistakes and loyalties supply the drama, with an abrasive immediacy that distinguishes it from a polished antihero showcase. Its five-season run was cut off, including a major unresolved final situation.
