Informer (2018)

A young British Pakistani man is coerced into intelligence work and discovers how quickly a handler's professional convenience can consume an informant's ordinary life. The 2018 British series makes family, friendship and belonging part of the mechanism of surveillance. Its six-part narrative is tense without reducing the recruited person to a useful plot device.
