Two friends make local commercials with more enthusiasm than competence, and the city supplies a cast of clients who take their very specific businesses seriously. The affectionate absurdity comes from commitment: even an awful idea deserves an elaborate pitch. Two seasons make a small, welcoming comic world without needing the friends to stop being ridiculous.
