Betaal (2020)

A road project opens a forbidden tunnel and releases an undead colonial force into a village's present. The clash between local warnings and the people sent to clear the way gives the siege its context. Pick it for a compact, forceful horror story where violating a boundary has immediate consequences, with military action and gore taking more space than quiet ambiguity.
