Life & Beth (2022)

A return to Long Island makes Beth reconsider the life she has learned to describe as satisfactory. Life & Beth uses present-day encounters and memories to expose how much of her self-understanding was formed somewhere she thought she had left behind. It mixes awkward humour with painful family material. Choose it for the way a familiar place can make an old compromise newly visible, without supplying a ready-made replacement life.
