Sam has returned to Kansas, but familiarity does not make the available roles feel right. Somebody Somewhere lets grief, a new friendship with a former schoolmate and the decision to sing again open possibilities inside a place she thought she already understood. It is the gentler choice here, though its humour can be frank. Pick it for a homecoming that allows belonging to be rebuilt rather than awarded automatically by a postcode.
