Laid (2024)

In the 2024 American version, Ruby's former partners begin dying, forcing her to revisit the account she tells herself about love and responsibility. Stephanie Hsu's comic energy makes a wonderfully strange romantic premise workable. Expect sexual frankness, death and friendship as well as attraction; its single season ends with questions that cancellation left unresolved.
