A Taiwanese American teenager experiments with different versions of himself through skating videos, online messages and strategic embarrassment. Izaac Wang's performance makes each small lie feel socially urgent. Set in 2008, it catches the particular awkwardness of wanting family protection to become invisible when friends are watching.
