The Edge of Seventeen (2016)

A friend's new relationship turns Nadine's private account of being misunderstood into a more awkward public problem. Hailee Steinfeld lets her be sharp, lonely and unfair without sanding those traits down. The comedy is useful if growing up appeals more as learning other people's interior lives than finding your own perfect group.
