The Hour (2011)

A 1950s television newsroom tries to report a changing world while its own hierarchy decides which risks are permissible. Clothes, studio routines and social codes all affect who can speak with authority. Two seasons offer a stylish, intelligent discovery about public information and private loyalties, though cancellation leaves a major final development unresolved.
