Snowfall (2017)

Franklin Saint's expanding drug business is part of a wider story about Los Angeles, opportunity and the institutions around the crack epidemic. His competence changes what he believes he can control, while the consequences extend well beyond his own household. The original six-season drama is a strong choice for a rise that alters relationships rather than merely supplying bigger opponents.
