Ramy (2019)

Ramy grows up in New Jersey inside an Egyptian immigrant family, inheriting a connection to a place his parents remember differently. The series is interested in his contradictions, including the temptation to treat a cultural explanation as an excuse. It is sexually frank and often uncomfortable comedy.
