Fresh Off the Boat (2015)

The Huang family's move from Washington, DC to Orlando is within the US, but the parents' earlier migration from Taiwan continues to shape the household. The 2015 sitcom Fresh Off the Boat lets an American-born son's tastes collide with his parents' expectations about success and security. Pick it for broad family comedy about different relationships to the same history. It is the scripted series, not Eddie Huang's earlier food-travel programme.
