Sweetbitter (2018)

A young New York restaurant employee has to learn the room as well as the job: who knows what, who gets invited and whose approval counts. The attention shifts from the kitchen to the front-of-house hierarchy, with pleasure and attraction making work harder to separate from the rest of life. Its romantic intrigue is more prominent than in The Bear. The two-season adaptation was cancelled before it could finish its story.
