Ten Year Old Tom (2021)

A child receives advice from adults whose confidence repeatedly exceeds their judgement. Steve Dildarian's deliberately awkward drawing and conversational timing make authority look both ordinary and ridiculous. The childish viewpoint is a device for adult institutional satire, especially the tiny compromises everyone would prefer to describe as helping.
