Lastman (2016)

A directionless boxer is forced into responsibility for a child while his corrupt city opens onto a much stranger world. The French animation makes physical action clean and forceful, with pulp adventure acquiring emotional stakes through care and loyalty. Choose it for momentum and visual confidence, with graphic violence and adult sexual material rather than a gentle coming-of-age tone.
