The Gilded Age (2022)

Marian enters her aunts' New York household while the newly rich Russells try to turn money into social acceptance. The Gilded Age makes invitations, introductions and apparently minor breaches of etiquette matter because established families control their interpretation. Choose it for a particularly legible contest between knowing a code and possessing the authority to change it. The lavish rooms are enjoyable, but the real attraction here is who gets to decide who may enter them.
