Criminal: UK (2019)

Criminal: UK keeps its centre of gravity in an interview room and the observation space beside it. A pause, a revised account or a change of tactic can therefore occupy time the viewer has to sit through with the participants. Choose it for concentrated verbal pressure rather than a promise that every minute of every episode is strictly continuous. The cases include distressing allegations, with the interviewers also having to decide how long to let silence work.
