Detroiters (2017)

Two best friends make low-budget local adverts with confidence their resources rarely justify. Sam Richardson and Tim Robinson play wholehearted mutual encouragement as a comic engine, rather than a reason to stop being ridiculous. The two-season comedy is broader and more chaotic than Ted Lasso, with affection directed towards both the friendship and Detroit's eccentric businesses. Start here if you want male friendship without the usual embarrassment about showing it.
