Detectorists (2014)

Two friends search English fields for buried objects while trying to keep the rest of their lives in reasonable order. Mackenzie Crook and Toby Jones make companionship visible in pauses, small irritations and the decision to go out again together. The quiet rural comedy does not need a life-changing discovery to make persistence worthwhile. Its warmth is a good match for Ted Lasso's belief in people, delivered with much less bustle.
