Galavant (2015)

A disgraced knight's attempt to reclaim his happy ending keeps colliding with characters who would prefer a different song. Alan Menken and Glenn Slater's numbers give fairy-tale exposition, villainy and romantic disappointment an unusually nimble comic form. Its two-season adventure offers plenty of payoff, with a few possibilities left beyond the cancelled continuation.
