The Sleepers (2019)

A couple return to Czechoslovakia in 1989, then a disappearance turns an apparent homecoming into an encounter with competing intelligence interests. The six-part Czech drama gives a civilian's uncertainty space alongside the professionals' manoeuvring. It offers a colder view of institutional power than Slow Horses, with political change making apparently settled loyalties unstable. The focus is vulnerability and control rather than comic incompetence.
