Patriot (2015)

An intelligence officer needs an industrial-piping job to make his cover plausible, and the supposed administrative detail becomes an obstacle course of its own. The deadpan comedy understands the misery of being given a mission whose supporting arrangements barely work. Its practical mishaps and odd colleagues are a particularly good match for Slough House's battered professionals. The melancholy grows across two seasons, with the wider story left unfinished.
