Spooks (2002)

The British series, also known as MI-5 in the US, follows a counterterrorism team whose professional closeness never removes the consequences of a bad decision. Operations and recurring office relationships share the workload across a long run. It is more earnest and more conventionally heroic than Slow Horses. Start here if you want a substantial ensemble commitment with abrupt changes that the remaining colleagues have to absorb.
