Beartown (2020)

The junior hockey team carries a declining Swedish town's hopes, so an allegation against a star player threatens more than the team's season. Beartown follows the decisions adults and teenagers make about belief, loyalty and what the town considers worth protecting. Choose the Swedish-language limited series for an unsparing picture of communal pressure. Sexual assault is central, and the different perspectives do not make the harm morally ambiguous.
