In the Flesh (2013)

A young man treated after becoming a zombie returns to an English village that is reluctant to see him as a person. The drama shifts attention from defending the living to the work of allowing someone back into a family and community. Its intimate scale gives the supernatural premise a difficult emotional use. BBC Three cancelled it after two series, leaving a larger story unfinished.
