Black Summer (2019)

A mother trying to reach her daughter moves through the early collapse of a zombie outbreak, where strangers cannot safely assume they share a plan. Long, urgent sequences make deciding whether to help someone feel physically dangerous. It is a useful choice for the terror surrounding The Last of Us's bonds, with far less reflective breathing room. The two-season run stops with unresolved characters and conflicts.
