The Walking Dead (2010)

A family reunion becomes the starting point for a much longer argument about which relationships and rules can survive a zombie apocalypse. The ensemble offers many versions of the protective bond, including ones that become damaging when trust narrows too far. The original series runs for eleven seasons, with uneven stretches and a continuing spin-off universe. It is the substantial commitment here, not the quickest substitute for an intimate two-person journey.
