Scenes from a Marriage (2021)

The 2021 American Scenes from a Marriage gives Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac long encounters in which an apparently settled arrangement becomes negotiable again. The pressure comes from shifts in the conversation rather than a rapid sequence of external events. Pick it for emotionally intense adult relationship drama, with sexual material and deliberately uncomfortable arguments. It is an adaptation of Bergman's series, with its own couple and contemporary terms of disagreement.
