The Rig (2023)

The workers aboard an offshore platform already depend on transport, communication and specialised infrastructure before a mysterious fog cuts them off. The Rig makes that dependence part of a speculative thriller rather than merely using the platform as an impressive backdrop. Pick it for people trying to keep an industrial place functioning while its usual connection to the outside fails. The explanation moves into supernatural territory, with the confined workplace providing the immediate pressure.
