Lampan (2024)

Based on Prakash Narayan Sant’s stories, this follows a boy living with his grandparents and finding his place in an unfamiliar household. It is the childhood exception in a list largely about working adults. The routines, authority and small acts of care are worth watching from the other side of the family relationship, where an adult’s passing remark can become a child’s whole concern.
