The Terror (2018)

The first season's ships are immobilised by Arctic ice long before the supernatural threat can explain everything the men fear. The Terror makes movement, supplies and the prospect of another winter alter the balance between officers and crew. Start here for weather that steadily removes choices. It is historical horror inspired by the Franklin expedition, not a factual reconstruction, and the cold remains a material problem even when the story becomes stranger.
