Kuch Ankahi (2023)

Aaliya’s work in real estate and her family’s property worries give the romance a firm economic foundation. The wit is welcome, but so is the attention to inheritance, employment and the pressure to make an acceptable marriage. An inviting choice when you want women’s material concerns taken seriously inside a recognisably sociable family drama.
