Udaari (2016)

Music offers Meeran a possible livelihood, while another strand follows a child and her mother confronting sexual abuse. The connection between public voice, financial dependence and the ability to seek justice gives the serial its force. A difficult but purposeful choice, with Sheedan and the women around her doing more than waiting for someone else to intervene.
