The Love Boat (1977)

The original 1977 The Love Boat treats each cruise as a fresh arrangement of passengers whose misunderstandings and romantic hopes become the crew's concern. Its light, episodic format makes an easy contrast with the danger elsewhere in the selection. Choose it as a knowingly vintage comedy-drama with guest stars and tidy resolutions. The social assumptions can be dated, but the temporary relationships formed between embarkation and departure are exactly the point.
