Huff (2004)

A psychiatrist's response to a patient's death unsettles his professional confidence and home life. Hank Azaria, Oliver Platt and Blythe Danner turn Showtime's two-season series into a volatile adult ensemble rather than an orderly treatment-room procedural. Awards recognition did not translate into a sustaining audience. Suicide and dysfunctional relationships make this a prickly discovery, with unresolved threads after cancellation.
