British actor Henry Cavill is best known as Superman, but The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and Mission: Impossible - Fallout are the useful Bond evidence. A persistent fan favourite and past Bond auditionee, he has since suggested he may be too old to start; this is wish-list casting. U.N.C.L.E. supplies the polished wit, while Fallout shows how forceful he can be in close combat. Put those registers together and his Bond could move from elegant deception to formidable physical threat without either side feeling borrowed.
