British actor Theo James leads The Gentlemen as Eddie Horniman and played Cameron in The White Lotus. Fans have repeatedly backed him for Bond, but he has publicly played down the role, citing age and the personal cost of its fame. He belongs in the dream-casting conversation. The Gentlemen shows his most persuasive route to 007: watchful authority, dry delivery and the ability to remain outwardly composed among dangerous people. His Bond could be sophisticated without seeming delicate, with a flicker of mischief behind the discipline.
