BoJack Horseman (2014)

The opening can resemble another abrasive Hollywood cartoon organised around a selfish celebrity. Episode seven, Say Anything, shifts attention to Princess Carolyn and is a better early test of its emotional range. Later consequences make the first season worth reconsidering, with addiction, depression and cruelty deepening rather than disappearing. This is a recommendation for a different kind of seriousness, not reassurance.
