School Spirits (2023)

Maddie investigates her own disappearance while stuck among the ghosts attached to her high school. Having to rely on classmates with their own histories makes the mystery a social problem as well as a puzzle. The 2023 drama, which continued with a third season in 2026, is less deadpan than Wednesday. Start here for a young investigator gradually discovering how little she understood about the place she thought she knew.
