Mortel (2019)

French teenagers bound by a supernatural bargain have to negotiate powers they cannot use as casually as they might wish. The relationships make the danger personal, particularly when the search for a missing brother collides with an outside force's demands. It is a more serious, adult-edged choice than Wednesday, with less comic distance. The two-season run is for the uneasy alliance and atmosphere rather than a fully settled mythology.
