A Confession (2019)

The search for Sian O'Callaghan connects to Becky Godden-Edwards, whose mother has lived with a different kind of prolonged uncertainty. Imelda Staunton and Siobhan Finneran make the families' experiences more than a detective's motivation. The six-part dramatisation includes a major policing dispute, but its contrasting accounts of waiting and grief are the reason it belongs here.
