The Long Shadow (2023)

The seven-part drama makes room for women attacked or killed during the Yorkshire serial murders to have work, financial pressures and people who love them. Survivors' experiences expose the limits of the investigation's assumptions. It is a substantial, distressing commitment rather than a quick killer profile, and its victim-centred intention does not remove the need to read a dramatisation critically.
