The Victim (2019)

A mother whose child was murdered becomes caught in another prosecution after a man is publicly identified as the killer. The four-part fictional Scottish drama complicates who can claim the word victim and what grief permits someone to do. Kelly Macdonald's performance makes the need for recognition painfully specific, without treating retaliation as an uncomplicated form of justice.
