The Investigation (2020)

The six-part Danish series reconstructs the work around Swedish journalist Kim Wall's murder without giving the perpetrator a performing role. Her parents' involvement and the practical effort to recover evidence keep relationships and responsibility visible. Tobias Lindholm worked with the family, yet the series is a reconstruction, not an unmediated record. Discussion of bodily evidence is deeply distressing.
