Lodge 49 (2018)

A bereaved former surfer finds a fraternal lodge whose members are also searching for a place in a changing economy. Its mystery can be enjoyed as a way of noticing work, debt and companionship rather than demanding constant plot acceleration. The two-season run was cut short, with some larger questions open. The appeal is the time it gives apparently marginal people.
