High Maintenance (2016)

A cannabis delivery route links New Yorkers whose short encounters gradually reveal fuller lives. The 2016 HBO series expands an earlier web project into an observational anthology, so the breathing room comes through attention rather than one continuous protagonist's arc. Sex and drug use are explicit, but the human interest often lies in a pause, a misreading or an unexpected kindness.
