Absolutely Fabulous (1992)

Edina and Patsy can turn almost any reason to exercise restraint into a reason for another indulgence. The original British Absolutely Fabulous makes their shared version of glamour a continuing licence to behave appallingly. Choose it for the broadest comic friendship here, with fast exchanges and a deliberately excessive lifestyle. The 1990s assumptions can be dated, but the pair's ability to validate the other's worst immediate idea remains the central joke.
